It's that time of year where work takes me to a different place. Admittedly, it's not new. It's Fiji and I know it well. My friends in the village, my Fiji family, the breathtaking sunsets. Those parts are all familiar to me.
This year however, our trip will be different. For the last two weeks since Cyclone Winston dealt a devastating blow, the largest cyclone on record to hit Fiji, we've been changing our plans. The good news is we're still going. But for me, it will mean that I cannot visit my friends all week and this is a bit strange considering they are an integral part of my experience in Fiji and my love for the country.
I'm sure it will be a good time. I'll still be in Fiji, but my last trip to this beautiful country (at least as a trip leader) will bring me new experiences and relationships.
In the meantime, this space will be quiet until I return.
