Random Monday thoughts on a Wednesday

Having a lovely weekend always makes waking up on Monday morning just a bit harder.

Last weekend, the hubby returned from his school trip, and other than lots of good family time, we also went to the opening of A Green Home Shop.  I love the growing trend of eco-consciousness that is sweeping through Hong Kong.  The pop up shop is open on Fuk Sau Lane (across from Grassroots Pantry in Sai Ying Pun) all week, with all kinds of vendors taking part, and the closing event will take place on Saturday.  Seriously, take a look.

Never in million years would I have thought that I'd own this much navy and white in my wardrobe after wearing navy and white for a school uniform all those years.  But I do.

I love all things navy.  I love all things striped.  And I especially love all things polka dotted.

The hubby questioned my choice of statement necklace for the day, but I really just wanted to show this guy off. I found this pharaoh necklace at Select 18.  Not a bad place to stop in from time to time for some good vintage.  They especially have an enviable glasses collection.

The rest of the look has a breezy summer feel to it.

Whenever I wear this top, though, I feel Parisian.  It's just something about the navy blue and white stripes.  Put a big floppy hat on and I'd be set to visit the French Riviera.

***I realize, now, that my thoughts in this post are really random.

Outfit details:  H&M top, vintage skirt from Vic and Lily (Etsy), Saltwater sandals, Select 18 necklace

What a great ensemble. I love a stripey day look and that necklace is the perfect accent to such a reliable outfit!

Thanks for mentioning the green home shop :) Gah I really like your breton stripe top- I'm still looking for one. Super tempted to get a thick one because it drapes nicer but thin ones seem more appropriate for HK summer weather.
