I've been trying to combat this dull weather with bright colors and spring clothing. Trying is the operative word here. I'm not sure that I was met with any success given that the weather actually got colder after I wore this dress.
Okay, cold by Hong Kong standards. In fact, Thursday was the coldest of any May day we've had in close to 100 years!
And I've been waiting for the right day to wear these fisherman sandals from Menorca, but I just couldn't wait any longer. I think I may live in these this summer.
I love their story. The design has remained the same for over a hundred years and they were originally worn by fishermen. The soles are manufactured from tires. Such history and eco awareness!
Now, I'm not one to shy away from color, but I was worried that this vintage dress would be too bright. I was wrong. The yellow was just the right shade of mustardy yellow for my liking. And the floral print has the perfect mix of blues, pinks and purples. Best of all, it came from one of my favorite Etsy shops, Five Stones Vintage. So much to love there.
Oh, Etsy. How I love you. I'm dedicating a series to you called Etsy Confessions. I think I'll share a little of my experience shopping on Etsy as well as feature some of my favorite shops. Not that I'm an expert, but I have a few tips. Stay tuned.
Now you, weather, I do not love you. I'm glad I broke up with you weeks ago on Facebook. I can't believe it was actually colder here than in Wisconsin this week. Enough said.
