Oh, what fun the girls and I had today! We started our day as usual with breakfast and a lovely cup of coffee, courtesy of my brother-in-law, and headed out to the Bleeker Street park. After deciding to meet my youngest sister for lunch, the boys split off to have a day of skateboarding and cruising Brooklyn.
The girls and I moseyed around the village for coffee at Joe's and my sister treated them each to a brand new hair bow at Doodle Doo's.
From here, we branched off to meet my baby sister for lunch in Chelsea. We walked the High Line up to her gallery and grabbed some yummy pizza nearby. After lunch, we had a tour of the latest art exhibit and wandered home on the High Line again, this time stopping for some iced lollies and a little splash in the puddles.
We met my sister back at Bleeker Street park for another play in the afternoon. Before we went home, I promised the girls we'd stop to pick up cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery (kitty corner from the park). It was really a lovely New York adventure. I love that I know this part of the city well enough to venture out like this with my girls. The weather will be scorching in the next few days, so it was good to do this exploring today. We carried water with us everywhere and lathered ourselves in sunblock anyhow.
My big girl snapped these outfit pics just outside Gagosian Gallery where my sister works. I'm in my newest American Apparel purchase (from the warehouse sale the other day). It's light and chiffony. Perfect for these hot days.
Outfit details: American Apparel dress (warehouse outlet), Tom Ford sunglasses, Michael Kors watch, custom made sandals from Vickies in HK.
