In Hong Kong, we don't take blue skies for granted. So it's practically unheard of that the last three days we've had clear, blue skies and piping hot weather. Three days! In a row! I'll take the steaming hot days if it means we get to see these blue skies with their fluffy white clouds.
It would be nice if we could dial down the humidity a bit, but I won't complain.
I've been waiting for an opportunity (and an end to the rain) to show off my repurposed jacket. Several weeks ago, I wrote about Master Wong in the My Stanley series and how his wife helped alter an old jacket I had. Well, here it is!
I have a real thing for vests this year, so I was thrilled with the way it turned out. I find myself thinking of all the possible ways I can incorporate it into an outfit so I can wear it again and again.
I bought this army style jacket at Target nearly ten years ago, when I was preggers with Buddy. I could actually button it all the way up even when I was eight and a half months pregnant (my baby bellies were always low). I love that I have rediscovered it and I can wear it again.
With the hot and humid weather this week, I've been trying to stay creative with hairstyles to combat the frizz. I went back to this goodie - four buns at the back of my head.
Outfit details: American Apparel striped dress, repurposed jacket from Target, custom designed sandals from Vickie's, Michael Kors watch, jewelry from various markets.
