I'm a few days late for the next My Stanley post. I took these pictures before going to visit my sisters thinking I'd write a post while I was away, but I wanted to hold my new niece as much as I could, so I didn't get to it. I had a lovely week in NYC and arrived back late Sunday night only to step right into a full (and busy) week back at school. Falling back into routine is the best way to beat jet lag. Now I am enjoying a week off for Easter break.
Anyhow, another one of my favorite places in Stanley is Ellis Jewelers. It's the place my whole family goes to for special occasion gifts. Anniversaries, milestone birthdays, weddings, new babies, etc.
Not only do they have beautiful jewelry, but the service is always professional, knowledgeable and friendly. You see, it's a family business. You can shop here with total trust in the opinion and expertise of the lovely people who own the store.
Shopping at Ellis is never about pushing a sale, but more about making customers happy.
They'll custom design jewelry, appraise family heirlooms and repair jewelry (even if it wasn't bought at their shop). You don't come across this kind of dedication to a craft much anymore.
The hubby bought me a gorgeous gold and jade ring here just last Christmas. I knew when I unwrapped the present and saw their name on the box that I was in for a treat.
I love that when we go in, they know us and our family by name. And, we have a jeweler (like we have a doctor) who we trust. Who know us as well as doctors know their patients. Actually, at Ellis, they know us better than that. It isn't just a business for them, it's a love for what they do.
Now, that seems to be a recurring theme in this series, doesn't it?
