Third time, still a charm.

I'll try to avoid any sporting references to number of championships, but it's difficult.  Last night, my Hong Kong Dancers danced their hearts out and won the annual Max'd Out competition for the third year in a row.

I'm so proud of them.  Since 2006, our HKD group (different students, of course) have organized and hosted this amazing urban dance competition, inviting groups to compete and soliciting guest performers from professional dance studios in Hong Kong.

On top of this, they also choreograph and teach our dancers for two intense months to prepare to compete.  All. By. Themselves.

And every year, the event gets better and better.  Every teacher should have the opportunity to work with amazing, motivated and dedicated kids like these.  I feel so lucky.  And, my own children are their number one fans.  Cally calls them her big friends.  On Friday night, we had all 23 of them over at our house and Joey made pizza.

We call ourselves an HKD family.  We are.  In the most special ways.

Oh, how I love this part of my job.
