I don't normally wear this color. Don't get me wrong, I like purple. All shades.
I just don't have much of it in my wardrobe.
So I was quite surprised when I saw this dress on Steffys Pros and Cons at just how much I loved it. Of course, the way Steffy styled it up was really cute. She accesorized with a gold peter pan collar and the color of the dress just complimented her skin color and hair so well. So, I took a chance and bought it (realizing full well that my skin color and hair are nothing like hers).
I wore it with black thinking that I'd need a familiar color to tone down the lilac and play down the sweetness of this dress. But as the day went on, I realized that's exactly what I liked.
And, it turns out I really like this color on me, too. It's a great pastel shade for warmer spring weather. Even the hubby did a little double take when I put in on for Valentine's Day last week, noticing the rarity of this color in my wardrobe, but also complimenting me.
I think his favorite part may have been the shoes.
