Two weekends ago, Ella had a ballet performance in Stanley. It was not her first performance (two years ago it was Minnie Mouse). This year it was Swan Lake.
She was so excited and I was so proud of her. She just loves her ballet. And, of course being with her friends who go to ballet with her. One of my favorite parts of the weekend is taking her to and from ballet class.

We've been in ballet for three years now. I wasn't quite sure if she'd stick with it when we started, and I admit to being apprehensive about her abilities (she does have two left feet, you know).

But I have to say, as I watched her perform, I could really see how much she's grown.
She knows all the steps, she has so much fun while she's on stage. She's way more confident than I ever was as a dancer.
Just look at her form! (I know I'm biased, but look!)
I just loved watching her among all the white feathers and tulle. She just lights up when dances.

I didn't think I was going to make it because of my busy forensics weekend. Joey was away at a basketball tournament in Shanghai. Buddy and Cally were there with Yaya and Jojo and of course our neighbours were there (as well as the other parents), and I had arranged to have our friends video it. Still, that's not the same. Luckily, things worked out just right so that I had a few hours to escape and see her. She saw me just before she went on stage and her reaction upon seeing me made me so glad to have made it.
