The two materials were made for each other. I mean like Harry and Sally, bread and butter, Saturday and Sunday. (Sorry, that's cheesy, but I've made my point, right?)
Totally meant to go together.
Don't you think the colors of the tartan just seem more badass when they're styled with leather? I do.
And I love it.
I picked up this vintage dress at the latest Swap and Shop. At the time, I thought I was nuts picking out a wool dress this close to Spring, but as luck would have it, our weather has been amazing. The cool weather has lingered, but more than that, the humidity has stayed away.
Now with the sun making an appearance, it's been stunning. I almost feel like I'm back in college, you know when Spring was approaching and it's like a light at the end of a tunnel. You just want to sit outside, bare-legged, basking in the sun. Glorious.
And, I think I'll have to pull it out one last time before summer. Because it's backless (omg, it's backless...I think that's my favorite detail) it's like built in ventilation for warmer evenings.
See? It's a thing. I found this picture after I'd worn my ensemble. Cute, eh? I'm totes wearing my dress with pumps next time.
