Giftwell

Gift season is quickly approaching.  Last night we tried to guess which month has the most birthdays in our family.  It's a dead heat between April and December.

The tie breaker, of course, is Christmas.  Argh!

So, what to do?  I have a reputation in my family for being a horrible gift giver.  No, that doesn't mean I'm not thoughtful.  I think I'm thoughtful.  I love my family.  I like to give nice gifts.  I'm just not very good at it.  This really stinks because the hubby is really great at it.  You know, he's the guy who gives you the things you didn't even know you wanted.  It's uncanny and wonderful.  My sisters are that way, too.  How did I get so lucky?

Here's an idea, then, for those of you poor souls who, like me, don't have a knack for gift giving.  Use Giftwell.

Giftwell is an organization that allows you to give a gift card to someone you love to redeem at a well curated selection of shops or restaurants in Hong Kong.

I know this because back in May, I won a Giftwell gift card in a giveaway that was run by the lovely Sybil of The Style Voyager.  The process for redemption was so easy.  All I had to do was browse the shops online, decide which one I wanted to have my gift card for and they sent my Giftwell gift card by courier to my door.  They can also send them electronically, too.

After much searching (there are so many good shops and restaurants to choose from!), I chose Kapok on Sun Street. At Giftwell I was pleasantly surprised by not only the selection of stores which have partnered with Giftwell, but also the friendliness and professionalism of the staff who helped me.  Shirley, one of the co-founders was so helpful and I felt well cared for by her attentiveness to my requests.

The best part of it all is that I ended up with this new clutch which you see pictured.  I can't wait to use it.
