Swirl of hair

I tried a new summer do today.  Saw a girl on the MTR yesterday with some kind of twisted bun thing in her fringe, so I gave it a whirl.

Buddy took this pic at just the right moment.

It's really quite easy.  First, section off a small portion of your hair at the front (wet hair works nicely).  Next, apply some styling cream and twist.  Twirl it into a bun and use bobby pins to pin the loose end to the rest of your hair.  Use a few more bobby pins to secure the bun and spritz with hairspray (I used only 4 pins in all).

View from the top.

I think this fringe bun works with hair up and hair down.  It reminded me of old Hollywood glamour.  And, bonus...the hubby really liked it.
