Back alleys

This week my friend Jessica and I met for lunch and shopping in Causeway Bay.  It was the perfect chance to explore new spots for outfit shots.  We found this spot in between Times Square and the bus 40 stop.  I love the urban feel of this spot, with the graffiti and the piles of bamboo so typical of Hong Kong city living.

Lucky for me, she even took a few shots on her iPhone using Instagram.  What a cool app that is!  How awesome are these pics?

There are lots of alleys like this one in this city.  Little sneaky passage ways between two main streets.  And, as is normal in Hong Kong, they are filled with people going in many directions.  This, of course, only added to the fun we were having when we took the pictures.  People either just moved around us, or waited patiently for us to finish.

Also typical of Hong Kong this time of year, moments after our photo shoot ended, the skies opened up. It was a Typhoon 1 warning, after all.  It's been steady rain and wind since.  Still, I'll definitely be trying this again.

Outfit details:  top and shorts - H&M, Raybans sunglasses, boots - Staccato, neckace - Artists and Fleas, Brooklyn, bracelets - Stanley Market
