Happy Halloween!

This year, our Halloween weather felt a little more like it does in the States.  I worried that Cally might be a little cool in her sequined dress.  But, she was revved up, ready to go.  Despite an early scare when Frankenstein answered one door (all 6 foot 5 inches of him), she got right into it.  We went back to our old Stanley neighbourhood, which is a bit more lively, accompanied by the Halcrow girls.  Five years in a row, now.  I like this tradition.

The littles and the bigs.

Buddy made a last minute switch and decided to be a mad scientist, picking out a wild rainbow wig and some coke bottle glasses.  He was a bit disappointed that he didn't look scarier, but got back into the grove once we started trick or treating.  Ella was Mulan.  Cally was Lady Gaga.  She didn't want anything to do with her blonde wig, but did let me paint a blue lightning bolt on her face.

Little Lady Gaga, without her blonde wig.
On our way home we stopped by my mum's house, as we always do, for some special treats.  Buddy chomped right into his apple, which was fine by me.  Something to combat a dentist's visit is good on a night like this.

At Nining's house.

This morning, we had the morning after Halloween hangover.  The kids were sluggish to get out of bed and Cally demanded candy for breakfast.  We did manage to turn things around by the evening by lighting our jack-o-lanterns, since we forgot last night.  Luckily, the first of November is when the Philippines celebrates Halloween, so we celebrated it for two nights.
