Before we eat dinner each night, we say grace. While we may not get to church as much as we should, I at least feel like doing this helps us and our children be aware of our spirituality. Michael has learned a rhyming prayer at school, which he often recites for us at home and we repeat.
Lately, Ella has decided to jump in on the action. She usually starts out just as Buddy does with God bless the skies above. But her prayer has a different spin.
It goes a little something like this:
Thank you Mama's home, Thank you Daddy's home, Thank you Ella's home, Thank you Buddy's home, Thank you Nining's home, Thank you Yaya's home.
And really, it makes sense. For a little girl who only asks you coming my house? when we call her - having everyone home is what she is most thankful for.
